Canada Pakistan Affiliated Chamber of Trade held its annual AGM and appreciation lunch on Nov 26th for our supporters Chateau Kabab West Island. It was a full house with dignitaries and invited guests. The collaboration between Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal teams made it a resounding success.
CPACT Cultural Festival 2023 was held on August 12th, at Cégep Gérald-Godin. The event promoted cultural cohesion; diversity & Inclusion and was participated by Montrealers in large numbers. The festival was graced by honorable guests, Mr. Frank Baylis, Mayor Stephane Cote of Lile-Bizard-Sainte-Genevieve, Pierrefonds Mayor Jim Beis, Francis Scarpaleggia, MP - Lac-Saint-Louis, MP Sameer Zuberi - Pierrefonds—Dollard, Mayor Alan Desouza of Saint-Laurent and other notable community members. In their speeches honorable guests applauded CPACT’s initiatives of showcasing cultural tapestry of South Asian heritage and initiatives to promote cultural cohesion.
CPACT celebrated the 75th National Day of Pakistan and inaugural Diversity Walk on 14th August 2022 at parc Eugen-Dostie in Ile Bizard, by hosting a grand free event in the heart of the west island of Montreal with over 2,000 attendees. Esteemed guests included MP Sameer Zuberi, representing the federal riding of Pierrefonds—Dollard; MNA Monsef Derraji , representing the electoral district of Nelligan as a member of the Quebec Liberal Party; Mayor Stéphane Côté : Mayor L’Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève and CONSUL GENERAL OF PAKISTAN-MONTREAL, ISHTIAQ AHMED AKIL attended the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, cake cutting ceremony and participated in the Diversity Walk. The main aim of the event was to unite communities and promote cultural diversity.
